American R&B star Jesse Powell died at the age of 51, his family was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.
The singer, who enjoyed success in the 1990s after releasing his debut album entitled, died at his home in Los Angeles. The cause of death has not been announced.
Sharing news on a Facebook post, Tamara's sister wrote: 'With a hard heart we announced the death of our beloved sons, sisters, and uncle.

Born and raised in Indiana, Powell won a confession after releasing his first album and the main single, You, in 1996.
Written by Powell and producer Carl Roland, the track will rise to number 59 on the US charts before enjoying further success after re -release in 1999.
Reactivating the second album of the singer 'Bout It, the song soon became the most successful in his career by reaching number two in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop song chart and number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
